About East Hill Studios

East Hill Studios is a newly found creative establishment designed for practicing professional artists to work from and work alongside each other. Situated within a beautiful 300 year-old grade II listed building, we have revitalised the space into a flexible 12-room studio.

We offer affordable workspaces for a wide range of artists, makers and designers. Our workspace environments are a base and central hub for creatives to work within, to meet other artists and designers, and a place to access opportunities that come through being in an active supportive environment. By providing space, time and opportunity, we aim to promote development of our artists' careers.

We recognise the needs and economies of recent graduates, artists, designers, creators and makers at the early stages of their careers, and more established practitioners, and we reflect this in our provision. Our efforts are to create workspace environments that support artists' careers and add value to the communities they are based in, and we welcome artists and makers who would like to be part of this growing community.

Our Ethos

At East Hill Studios, we create opportunities for established and emerging creators to participate and engage with the arts community. We support artists to develop an audience for their works, share their skills and enjoy feedback. We believe in ensuring that everyone is happy and comfortable in their place of work - we like to look out for one another at East Hill Studios.

Our purpose is to prepare you for success in the arts and media sector, and, in particular, help create opportunities to work or launch businesses in the creative and digital industries. We’ve created an environment to inspire creativity and critical thinking.

All of the work we do here is designed for one thing – to help support our artists; to allow them to successfully grow and develop their skills and business through following our ethos.
